Why the Search and Rescue clause?
What the Search and Rescue part of the terms and conditions cover is a situation where an athlete withdraws from the event without letting our marshalls or officials know. We kick off a search effort but meanwhile the athlete is having a drink on the lakefront, which is fine for the said athlete but not so for everyone else!
